Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of patient demographics and insurance information.
- Research, identify, and rectify issues affecting delayed or non-payment of insurance claims.
- Process paper claims for assigned accounts and send them to the appropriate insurer.
- Ensure that clean and correct claims are sent to insurers with necessary documentation.
- Prepare and submit coverage and payment appeals when needed.
- Resolve credit balances due to over-payments within time guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer requirements.
- Contact insurance companies for explanations of denials and underpayments.
- Take appropriate action on claims to ensure resolution.
- Ensure accurate and timely follow-up.
- Document actions taken in claims billing summary notes.
- Prioritize pending claims for calling from the aging bucket, adhering to international norms and confidentiality rules.
- Work on denials, rejections, LOAs, making required corrections to claims.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in English (Spoken and Written)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced agile environment
- Desire and ability to learn new software and the healthcare domain quickly
