Position Overview: Research Consultant

Advarra is actively seeking a Research Consultant to join their team in Bangalore. This position is open to freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of experience. As a Research Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting the IRB services, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high-quality standards in clinical research.

Your responsibilities will involve developing expertise in Advarra’s systems, providing critical support to the Client Services teams, and actively participating in various aspects of clinical research, including customer issue documentation and resolution.


Key Responsibilities

Software and System Familiarity

  • Develop a strong understanding of Advarra’s Clinical Trial Management Software (CTMS), Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes, and CIRBI tool.
  • Support Client Services teams by efficiently utilizing the software and systems.

IRB Submissions and Study Management

  • Oversee translation processes, safety reporting, ongoing reviews, site termination, and IRB submissions.
  • Ensure all documentation and submissions meet the required standards for study start-up efficiency.

Customer Issue Resolution

  • Document and address customer issues promptly to maintain smooth research operations.
  • Work closely with the reporting manager to meet daily/weekly quality and productivity metrics.

Team Collaboration

  • Participate actively in team meetings and discussions focused on customer cases or protocols.
  • Contribute to the team’s success by providing insights and suggestions for improving client services.

Case Management and Reporting

  • Utilize internal case management and reporting software for tracking and completing assignments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Clinical Research methodology, industry regulations, study start-up activities, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant business software.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0-1 year internship experience in clinical trial coordination, study start-up, regulatory affairs, IRB submissions, clinical data management, or records management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High energy, proactive attitude, and an ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer support with a solutions-oriented approach.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a workstation.
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects up to 10 lbs.
  • Focus on tasks, comprehend instructions, and demonstrate strong verbal communication, listening, and understanding skills.
