Position Overview:
The Health Science Advisor will collaborate with various teams to meet the needs of healthcare providers (HCPs) and improve patient care. This role will serve as the primary connection to HCP customers, providing expert advice and facilitating real-time connections.

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, MSc, BSc, Life Sciences
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales
  • Location: Must reside within 50 miles of San Francisco

Job Description:

  • Product Access:
  • Provide information on local market payor coverage, co-pay, prior authorization, formulary placement, and availability.
  • On-Label Information:
  • Share complex on-label information consistent with approved materials.
  • Patient Care Guidance:
  • Provide guidance on system protocols, standard of care guidelines, discharge protocols, and expert opinions.
  • Provider Connections:
  • Facilitate real-time connections to on-demand CSSs for HCP questions.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Engage with customers through virtual and digital tools.
  • Direct customers to appropriate colleagues when necessary.
  • Ensure customer requests are met and gather feedback on engagement quality.
  • Thought Leadership:
  • Facilitate speaker programs and organize discussions with local/regional leaders.
  • Business Planning:
  • Provide insights and feedback to the ecosystem lead.
  • Collaborate to adjust strategies based on customer insights.

Candidate Profile:

CriteriaDetails
ExperienceMinimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales
Sales RoleAt least 4 years of experience working with HCPs in a sales capacity
Nursing ExperienceClinical nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) experience highly valued
SkillsProven mentoring and coaching skills, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, track record of meeting/exceeding targets, knowledge of healthcare product delivery operational issues
