Job Overview

The Clinical Research Associate (CRA) at Syneos Health plays a crucial role in the management and execution of clinical trials. Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Research Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Clinical Data Management:
  • Managing all clinical data activities related to clinical trials.
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems like Medidata Rave.
  • Performing lab data entry, discrepancy reviews, and data validation.
  • Data Entry and Quality Control:
  • Handling data entry for both paper and electronic studies.
  • Performing quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordination and Collaboration:
  • Coordinating tasks such as Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reconciliations, interim data reviews, and database management.
  • Providing guidance and support to other Clinical Data Associates, potentially overseeing their work.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Working within the scope of contracts and study-specific Clinical Data Management Plans.
  • Ensuring all activities are compliant with relevant regulations and guidelines, including ICH/Good Clinical Practices (GCP).

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2 to 4.5 years of experience in clinical data management.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Medidata Rave.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Query Management, Spotfire, SAE reconciliation, lab query management, and startup tasks such as UAT and DM documentation.
  • Experience with Oncology trials is preferred; knowledge in Cardiovascular, Neurology, Respiratory, Infectious Disease, and Gastroenterology therapeutic areas is advantageous.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with ICH/GCP guidelines, medical terminology, Microsoft Office, and relational database management systems.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).
