Job Title:
Peptide Organic Chemist
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced peptide synthesis methods.
- Synthesize and characterize target peptides, and perform purifications.
- Perform manual solid-phase synthesis on a medium to commercial scale (1 to 10 g, 100 g, and 1 kg final product).
- Characterize and identify compounds using modern analytical methods.
- Maintain instruments such as rotary evaporators, MPLC, pH meters, lyophilizers, peptide synthesizers, and centrifuges.
- Comply with SHE/regulatory guidelines.
- Troubleshoot practical and theoretical synthetic issues.
- Conduct literature searches and collect MSDS.
- Maintain documents such as patents, literature, and analytical reports.
- Maintain individual productivity, including the number of reactions, purifications, and shipments.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in characterizing, synthesizing, and purifying peptides.
- Capability to handle a team of 2-3 people.
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Adherence to safe practices and procedures.
- Contribution to the development of safety protocols and systems.
- Promotion of an environment, health, and safety (EHS) mindset.
- Completion of mandatory training related to data integrity, health, and safety.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with other departments.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to various work assignments.

Qualifications:
- M.Sc/M.Pharm (Organic Chemistry)
