Position: Associate – IPM (Intellectual Property Management)
Location: Hyderabad
Salary: ₹5 – 8 LPA
Qualifications:
- Educational: M.Pharm, MSc, Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Life Sciences
- Experience:
- Master’s: 5-6 years in biopharmaceutical IP
- Ph.D.: 2-3 years in biopharmaceutical IP
Roles & Responsibilities:
Task | Description |
---|---|
IP Identification | Identify potential blocking IPs for in-house processes/formulations. |
Database Management | Maintain a database of 3rd party IPs that may affect product launches. |
R&D Collaboration | Collaborate with R&D to develop alternate processes/formulations. |
Opinion Preparation | Prepare non-infringement and infringement opinions by analyzing processes against 3rd party patents. |
Patent Filing | Identify inventions, conduct patentability searches, draft, and file patent applications. |
Patent Prosecution | Address objections from patent offices and prepare defense strategies. |
Search Strategy | Design and implement strategies to identify relevant patents and prepare freedom-to-operate reports. |
Invalidation Grounds | Develop invalidation grounds and support the invalidation team with prior-art documents. |
Skills & Attributes:
- Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of biotechnology industry processes and technologies.
- Understanding of global IP laws, especially patents.
- Proficiency in interpreting IP laws related to patent litigations.
- Behavioral Skills:
