Key Responsibilities of a Centralized Study Specialist I

As a Centralized Study Specialist I, you’ll be at the heart of the clinical development process, supporting various aspects of clinical trials. Your role will involve tracking study progress, maintaining clinical systems and databases, and supporting Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) with critical operational activities. Below are the primary responsibilities:

1. Ensure SOP Compliance

You’ll be responsible for following the organization’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions, ensuring that clinical trial processes are conducted efficiently and in compliance with regulations.

2. Execute Monitoring and Reporting Plans

As a Centralized Study Specialist, you’ll be tasked with executing timely and high-quality monitoring and reporting plans. This involves tracking project metrics and providing updates to management according to strict timelines.

3. Manage Clinical Systems and Databases

Part of your role will involve managing clinical trial systems like CTMS (Clinical Trial Management System), IWRS (Interactive Web Response System), and EDC (Electronic Data Capture) systems. Your job is to ensure that data is entered, tracked, and reported accurately.

4. Assist CRAs and Generate Reports

Supporting Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) will be another key responsibility. You’ll track any outstanding issues, assist in vendor and site payments, and generate study-specific reports for stakeholders.

5. Facilitate Communication and Collaboration

Collaboration is crucial at Fortrea. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including support groups and vendors, to ensure smooth progress on clinical studies. Leading team meetings and managing internal and external communications are part of the role.

Qualifications and Skills Needed
