Key Responsibilities of a Trainee in Medical Affairs
As a Trainee in Medical Affairs, your role will be multifaceted, covering a range of key functions that contribute to Glenmark’s global mission of delivering effective therapies. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
1. Develop Expertise in Therapeutic Areas
You will be expected to gain and maintain a thorough understanding of various therapy areas, such as Derma, Respi, Gastro, Cardiometabolics, and Onco. This knowledge is crucial for offering effective support during medical education programs and training sessions.
2. Support Medical Education Programs
As part of the Global Medical Affairs team, you will assist in organizing medical education programs like ISP, Symposia, CME, and Round Table Meetings (RTMs). You will also help develop presentation materials and ensure that all scientific content is up-to-date and accurate.
3. Provide Cross-Functional Support
Your expertise will be valuable across departments, providing therapeutic area and product training to both the Product Management Team (PMT) and the field force. Additionally, you will assist in the review of promotional materials and regulatory documents, ensuring that they comply with medical guidelines and regulations.
4. Ensure Regulatory Compliance
In the pharmaceutical industry, maintaining regulatory compliance is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring that all medical activities adhere to Glenmark’s SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and ICH guidelines. This will involve regular reviews of promotional materials for medical accuracy.
5. New Product Evaluation
As a trainee, you’ll also support the evaluation of new products by providing crucial medical insights. Your input will help the team assess the potential of future products and ensure they meet regulatory standards before launch.
Qualifications and Experience
