Job Description
As a Medical Reviewer at Cactus Communications, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical documents. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from home, with potential travel to the Mumbai office for business needs or team events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Evaluation: Assess manuscripts, posters, slide decks, and educational material for data accuracy.
- Quality Control: Verify scientific data in documents developed by medical writers by cross-referencing with annotated references, clinical study reports (CSRs), and other source data.
- Error Identification: Detect discrepancies within the text and between figures/tables and supplementary material; suggest improvements.
- Source Identification: Identify missing sources and gaps in scientific logic.
- Compliance Checking: Ensure documents comply with grammar, syntax, style guides, regulatory guidelines, and publishing requirements.
- Communication: Convey QC/fact-check findings effectively to clients and medical writers.
- Reporting: Deliver QC reports, identify quality trends, and ensure timely document delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain proactive communication with team members, authors, clients, and vendors.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in workshops, seminars, and training to enhance skills and contribute to organizational growth.
Qualifications and Prerequisites
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in the medical writing industry; freshers with substantial knowledge of the publication landscape or clinical research are also eligible.
- Education: Master’s degree in Research or equivalent industry experience.
- Skills:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a zero-tolerance approach to errors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities.
- Experience with Veeva Vault is a plus.
